Beyond Human Limitations!

1 Kings 14:1-6(Amplified)

Then Abijah [the little] son of Jeroboam became sick. And Jeroboam said to his wife, Arise, I pray you, and disguise yourself, that you may not be recognized as Jeroboam’s wife, and go to Shiloh. Behold, Ahijah the prophet is there, who told me that I should be king over this people. Take ten loaves, some cakes, and a bottle of honey, and go to him. He will tell you what shall happen to the child. Jeroboam’s wife did so. She arose and went [twenty miles] to Shiloh and came to the house of Ahijah. Ahijah could not see, for his eyes were dim because of his age. And the Lord said to Ahijah, Behold, the wife of Jeroboam is coming to ask you concerning her son, for he is sick. Thus and thus shall you say to her. When she came, she pretended to be another woman. But when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet as she came in at the door, he said, Come in, wife of Jeroboam. Why do you pretend to be another? For I am charged with heavy news for you.

There was a plan by Jeroboam to deceive Ahijah the prophet but God foiled the attempt!

Let me start my write-up today with a word of prayer: that every attempt of Man or Satan himself to bring deception upon your life, family, work or ministry will be thwarted in Jesus name! Amen.

How beautiful to know that it was God Himself who revealed the secret to Ahijah the prophet. This is a beautiful example of God working with the Man/ Woman He himself has called and chosen. I already have an ecstatic feeling of what Ahijah experienced. God was the one instructing him in ministry; not flesh. This could be applicable in any and every area of life (secular or spiritual). O that God will be deeply involved in every area of our affairs as to guide and instruct us!Amen!

Ahijah’s eyes were dim because of old age. Human limitation had set in; he could not recognize people again, so it was easy for him to have been deceived by impersonators. This would probably have affected his accuracy in the prophetic but the person who was coming as an imposter failed to understand how God operates. He is not man! God cannot be deceived! It is only when a Man is no longer in tune or in right standing with God that he fails to receive such divine interventions and accuracy in life and ministry.

God is not bound by human limitations!

Ahijah’s poor eyesight could not be exploited because God was involved in his ministry operations.

There are people who will like to take undue advantage of us because of our vulnerabilities. Whatever area it is, may God always arise to intervene in your (my) affairs against every plot of the enemy (or anyone whosoever) to exploit you (me). Amen!

May God take you beyond every human limitation to frustrate every negative plot against your life and affairs. Amen!
